I build the tools that run a service business.

Ticket tracking, dispatch, daily digests and dashboards: I designed and built the systems my own business runs on. Now I build them for other businesses too.

What I can build for you

Practical tools for owners who are tired of running the business out of email and spreadsheets.

Ticket & job tracking

Every job in one place, from intake to assigned tech to closed out. Built on AppSheet and Google Sheets, so your team already knows the tools.

Automations

Connect Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Calendar and ClickUp so information moves without anyone retyping it.

Daily digests & dashboards

A morning summary of what needs you today: late follow-ups, unassigned jobs, missing reports. Problems surface before customers notice.

Private AI helpers

AI that sorts, summarizes and drafts, set up so sensitive customer and financial data stays on your own machine.

Selected work

Real systems in daily use, plus working demos you can click through. Business details are kept private.

Service Ticket System

AppSheet → rebuilt on the AppSheet API

The system my service business runs on. Work orders arrive from partner companies, get assigned to technicians, and are tracked from first call to completion. After the first AppSheet version proved itself, I rebuilt it on the AppSheet API so other tools can create and update tickets automatically.

Morning Digest

Automated daily triage

Every morning a script checks every open job and writes a summary of what needs attention: new work not yet logged, jobs with no tech assigned, overdue first calls, reports not sent. It lands on my dashboard before the day starts.

Mission Control

A private operations hub for my whole life and business

One dashboard of cards for what matters right now: deadlines, priority mail, meetings, bills, bank spending, the business's open jobs, meal plans and more. I can add to it from anywhere by text or voice note through a Telegram bot.

  • Private by design. Personal data is handled by a local AI model on my own PC. Only planning and writing go to Claude.
  • Safe automation. Its Google Drive clean-up proposes changes, waits for approval, and can undo every batch. It never deletes.
  • Built to stay up. Encrypted nightly backups, a watchdog and a smart-plug restart if the PC hangs.
  • Tested. 430 automated tests across 30+ modules.

Gluten Lens

Phone app for checking food labels

Point your phone camera at an ingredient label. AI reads it, flags anything that may contain gluten, and explains unfamiliar ingredients in plain language. Barcode lookup and scan history included.

Whiskers' River Journey

3D adventure game for kids

A cozy 3D game: guide a young redtail catfish down Amazonian rivers, collecting snacks and stars on the way to the Grand Lake. Generated worlds, sound, and saved points.

How I work

1

Start from the real problem

I've run the business side myself, so I start with where time and jobs actually get lost.

2

Build with AI, carefully

I design the system and direct AI coding tools like Claude to build it quickly, then test it hard before it touches real work.

3

Keep it safe and simple

Approve before anything changes, undo for every batch, private data kept private, and tools your team can run without me.

About

I'm Ted Kelly. I run a service business, and I built the software it runs on: the ticket system, the automations and the daily dashboards. I like turning messy, manual work into systems that just run.

I'm open to operations and automation roles, and to building custom tools for other service businesses.
